Sheepstor – British Sheepskin

Description

Sheepstor is a favourite in store right now, and is very lovable. Soft and spaniel-like it’s simply a joy to handle – Sheepstor could join this writer’s collection in a heartbeat. I would use this sheepskin in a location where it will receive attention, and best of all where it will be touched. Two ways to look at this one on the floor: a shame to see it downtrodden, or the ultimate play-room upgrade. I’ll leave you to judge how full the glass is. 

A lovely sheepskin that will soften hard furniture just as it soothes the soul at the end of the day. Sheepstor shimmers in the light and its uniform short hair will be easy to keep. The thick, soft, hide has taken the tannic acid exceptionally well – producing a quality fleece. 

There has been a chapel in this parish since 1240 and the church that is there at this present time is believed to be a more recent construction, possibly on the same site. Sheepstor church is made of granite, the predominant local stone, and will almost certainly outlive us all.

You may have seen Sheepstor in the Spielberg film, War Horse. Spielberg changed the schedule to allow much more filming on Dartmoor after seeing the scout’s footage.
