Thanks for your interest in Dartmoor Sheepskins, we are Shannon and Chris. We’re nice, and we know from experience that our customers are nice too. Here’s what we do to keep both you and us safe, and hopefully happy, in the event of something unusual happening, or if you feel that something is wrong. Firstly, contact us and we will work hard to make things right. Our aim is always to create a happy customer. In common with most of your purchases in the UK, purchases from Dartmoor Sheepskins are covered by British consumer rights, a user friendly version of which can be found here.

SHEEPSKINS: We love our sheepskins and if you don’t like the one we sent you please send it back in the exact same condition as you received it. If you don’t like it put it back in its packaging without delay. Don’t let it absorb the smells of your hands, your pet cat, or your fabulous cooking. Don’t even blink near it, avert your very eyes… You get the picture. No returned sheepskin is ever sold as a full price sheepskin.

NATURAL DYES: Our dyes are intended and sold exclusively for the purpose of imparting pigment. They will stain anything they touch, treat them accordingly. We take no responsibility for any damage you cause with our dyes. We don’t guarantee the results you might get with our dyes, there are simply too many variables affecting the outcome. What we can say is that all our products are exactly as described, accordingly, if you put in the research, and hone your technique, you will achieve consistent results. If you are completing a project over a long time frame and want to be sure of using the same dye batch, simply contact us and we can make arrangements. Dyes, incenses and flowers are usually dispatched within 5 working days.

INCENSES: Our incenses are intended to be lit until smouldering or heated in a device specifically designed for burning incenses. Don’t leave anything hot or burning unattended. People under the age of 18 should have consent and supervision of a responsible adult when using our incenses. Use of our incenses is at your own risk. We won’t be responsible for any damage you might cause if you use them irresponsibly. Don’t eat them. Don’t write on the furniture with them. Just use them as incenses, it’s what they would want.

FLOWERS FOR GIN: Our clitoria flowers are intended as a colouring and flavouring for alcoholic spirits and tea. Don’t let children drink the gin but they seem to love the tea. It’s tea made with boiling water, so take appropriate care.

Delivery times and methods

In extreme cases sheepskins can take as long as three weeks to arrive. This is by a very wide margin the most extreme delay, but it has happened once. This being the case it is only reasonable that we give you three weeks to return a sheepskin if you find it’s not right for you. But, pun intended, we will not be ‘fleeced’. You are expected to arrange return shipping and have it back to us within three weeks.

Dyes, incenses and flowers are usually dispatched within 5 working days. However, very large orders may not be fulfillable from stock. In these cases we will contact you to let you know there will be a delay and work out what is best for you.

All orders are dispatched Royal Mail First Class, except orders over £50 which are sent Royal Mail First Class Recorded Delivery. We aim to dispatch your order within 48 hours of receiving it, and in the vast majority of cases this is exactly what we do. Where we expect a delay with an order we will contact you quickly and work towards a happy outcome. Your consumer rights are in place at all times and we offer a no quibble refund policy – simply return your purchase in the condition it arrived.
