British Sheepskins

Choose from our Rare Breeds section where what you see is what you buy – all tanned skins pictured individually. These sheepskins are unique and so when they’re gone, they’re gone.

We specialise in rare breed sheepskins, but don’t assume that our generic sheepskins are inferior, they’re not. You can save money by accepting that each sheepskin will vary from the images shown.

For something really special, I personally would go for this little Gotland, possibly Reindeer (although sustainably farmed, these won’t suit everyone). At a lower price point, again just personal, I would snap up this Light Herdwick, it’s softer than the average Herdwick (not that that’s saying much) but it’s really beautiful to look at.

Are sheepskins ethical? Ethics are personal, but Dartmoor Sheepskins come from sheep that have already entered the food chain.

Shannon | Dartmoor Sheepskins

Dartmoor Sheepskins is a small Devon business thriving on quality products with personal service. We sell gorgeous items that add ancient luxury and timeless charm to your home. Catch a rarity as they come up but, honestly, you cannot go wrong with a Cottage Cream - it's the most popular product right now for a very good reason.

We are proud of the products that we present to you. Many say it, but we actually are a cottage industry, and when you get a delivery from us it has been packaged with our own fair hands on site.

We specialise in small runs, so if you see something you like, it is best to get it sent, it may be gone tomorrow.

All of our sheepskins come from British flocks, most are tanned right here on Dartmoor.

Thank you for supporting us, we appreciate you x
