Easy care plants are the stars of the May garden

With summer seeming inevitable, we take a quick look at the garden in May.

Chinese rhubarb catching the sun behind an ornamental grass and a collection of potted succulents.

Everyone LOVES Topia! It flowers right up until a hard frost, giving generous prettiness for six or seven months of the year. Easy to care for.

Alliums are a firm favourite, dead easy to care for just plant and forget. Mostly I forget where I’ve planted them.

Almost black lilies. These should be lifted over winter to avoid being eaten, but I always seem to get away with leaving them in.

A key feature of our garden are the wild birds we are gradually taming. We not only feed them with seed but also with many plants and our moss lawn!
